- False: The water pressure is too gentle: In comparison to more traditional pressure washing, the water pressure used for softwashing is significantly lower. Some might think that the water pressure is too gentle to be effective. This is not the case. In fact, the cleaning solution used with softwashing does most of the cleaning work by targeting and eliminating microorganisms and other contaminants on your exterior surface. That being said, you can rest assured that this cleaning method is highly effective even with gentle water pressure.
- False: It’s only for delicate surface materials: Another common misconception is that softwashing is only appropriate and effective for more delicate surface materials, like shingle roofing, stucco, or solar panels. While this method can be used for those surface materials, it’s also effective on other exterior surfaces, including concrete, driveways, walkways, decks, and more.
